In May 2018 Emma Grace Straub, age 9, was diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis, a condition in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy brain cells, leading to inflammation. Emma now suffers from numerous cognitive deficits and debilitating psychiatric symptoms. The only treatment is a regular schedule of IV infusions of blood plasma ("IVIG") over the next 15 months. Not only has IVIG been proven to work for Emma, but her team of expert physicians and hospital agree that she desperately needs this treatment.
Unfortunately, this treatment is very costly so together, let’s help Emma and her family by donating what we can. Kelly is graciously offering a donation-based class with all proceeds going to Emma. Our suggested donation is $10-$15 per person. Cash only. Thank you for your help!
