SomaYoga for Self-Care with Jenifer Cartland

Saturdays - April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (five consecutive weeks)

12:30-2:30 pm

$180 for all five sessions

The course will be tailored to the needs of those who enroll. Consequently, enrollment will be limited and participants are asked to join all five sessions so that they have time to experiment and discover what practices work best for their current needs.

Join Jenifer Cartland (RYT-500, Level 1 yoga therapist) for a 5-week introduction to SomaYoga self-care practices that will empower you to find greater resilience in your body and mind.

You may be interested in this class if --

  1. You are looking for ways to build more resilience in your body and mind

  2. You have recurring or what seems to be chronic discomfort or pain

  3. You find it difficult sometimes to stay calm, cool and collected

  4. You are recovering from or about to enter a period of medical care (such as surgery, chemotherapy)

Jenifer will partner with each student over five sessions to learn their needs and to introduce them to practices to unwind pain and build resilience.  You will have a chance to live with and test these practices for yourself, report back, learn more, and, with Jenifer’s help, refine what is working for you.

Jenifer’s has studied yoga for fifteen years.  Her teacher and therapy training is from The International SomaYoga Institute in Duluth, MN. Inspired by Thomas Hanna’s approach to somatics, SomaYoga enables practitioners to restore and build functionality and strength. SomaYoga safely allows every student to increase function and re-educate their muscles in all the ways that are important them.
