Coming Out of Quarantine: A Restorative Yoga Workshop

Join Lisa Segar for a Restorative Yoga workshop designed to ease you back into society as we move toward a post-quarantine world. This workshop will be geared toward self-care and the importance of rest as we return to work, social gatherings, or even the grocery store. We will take time to explore the vagus nerve in relation to the parasympathetic nervous system, and how this “superhighway” carries information from the brain to the gut and back again. There will be time for journaling as we explore what rest means to you. Together we will move through a Restorative Yoga practice, taking time to build each pose for optimal relaxation and comfort. Finally, each of the poses offered in practice will be paired with a modification that you can do anywhere, anytime, with minimal to no props.

Who should attend: Anyone who wishes to increase their knowledge of the importance of rest.

What should you bring: Each student will be provided with 3 blankets, 1 bolster, 1 block and 2 small towels.

Please bring your yoga mat and your favorite blanket to cover up with.
