Centered in yogic principals, we will use mindfulness, the breath, listening, and letting go to uncover new and unexpected pathways of movement. Live musical accompaniment will aid us in connecting with our desire to move using task-based prompts as we explore dualities of movement such as delicacy and fierceness, playfulness and seriousness, the seen and the unseen. Some partnering will take place in this class as a means to better connect with the individual, the universal, and the sacred.
Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook and a writing utensil to record new discoveries. We will end class with a simple flow in order to apply new movement and conceptual tools to yoga asana.
